Security group
Banned users (ignore these)
Insert people into this list if they harass you. All you have to do is enter their
realname and/or nick name. They will then banned from your host, and can't send messages
to you. There is a better and more efficient option, see Ignore-List
I'm behind a firewall
Check this if you are behind a firewall or are using Slirp or don't have a
"real IP-address" for another reason. If not, people can't connect to
you via PChat or SendFile. If you don't know what a firewall is you'd
better leave this unchecked, but if you notice that poeple can't
connect to you via PChat or SendFile you could test to check this.
People using a shared modem connection from another computer must also check this box.
Hide my IP-address/hostname
Check this if you don't want other people to see your ip-address or
host name via AmiComSys.
MessAccess
With this you can enable or disable messages from specified host with an
ordinal Amiga wildcard pattern.
With this wildcard you describe the authorized hosts which are allowed to send
you a message. Default is #?, which means that anybody may send you a message.
(e.g #?.se, means that only Swedish host may send you messages.)
(#?.se|#?.com|#?.edu) gives message access to host with .se, .com or .edu domains.
{HI "If you found that people can't send messages to you, set this to #?"}
Enable Messages
This must be checked if you want to receive messages.
Enable MultiMess
This must be checked if you want to receive messages sent with pattern matching (MultiSend).
Enable Message-Center
This must be checked if you want to receive messages from the message center
at the AmiComSys home page at https://amicomsys.tibb.at.
Enable SendFile
This must be checked if you want to be able to receive files.
Enable PChat
This must be checked if you want to be able to receive Private Chat requests.
